We made this video because we want others to feel the power of social bookmarking and how it works to make web pages easier to remember, organize and share.

from 852signal - Hong Kong Web 2.0 by Angus Lau
I was at a Web 2.0 seminar here in Hong Kong yesterday(25.7.2007) and heard more from speakers about what Web 2.0 is and isn’t. This was the pattern of the previous conference and this seminar. However, this seminar did include a company, m-gen,
that discussed Mobile 2.0 topics. Mobile 2.0 in Hong Kong is a topic
that I have yet to touch on and profile. I do know (ok, I lied, it’s
more like an assumption) that there aren’t too many startups here and
the market is up for grabs to anyone.
It was also fun chatting with a group of people who are doing some very interesting work for Outblaze
here in Hong Kong. They are now running a blogging platform for Sanrio
- which means Hello Kitty and everything in her family. I bet you
didn’t know that Hello Kitty fans are now blogging
in droves on a pretty sophisticated Wordpress Multiuser platform, with
video editing and other media creation tools included. And they’re not
all fluff all the time.. one of them writes about Hong Kong censorship and the environment when not enthusing about the latest Hello Kitty gear. (Disclosure: Outblaze CEO Yat Siu is a friend of mine and Sanriotown sponsors the Japanese translation section on Global Voices.)

One of the many benefits that FeedBurner publishers will enjoy now that FeedBurner is part of the Google family is a little something we like to call, “more for free!” Beginning today, two of FeedBurner’s previously for-pay services, TotalStats and MyBrand, will be free. Not in the sense of soaring high above the clouds or recently sprung from the hoosegow, but free like you’ll no longer gladly be billed on Tuesday for a burned feed today. We suspect this will be welcome news to the 450,000+ of you using many of our other free services, but understanding that your feed is your feed, you will need to activate these newly freed-up services in order to partake in their awesomeness.

It’s been 10 years since the blog was born. Love them or hate them, they’ve roiled presidential campaigns and given everyman a global soapbox.
Twelve commentators — including Tom Wolfe, Newt Gingrich, the SEC’s Christopher Cox and actress-turned-blogger Mia Farrow — on what blogs mean to them.By TUNKU VARADARAJAN

And the last super interesting fact on the June update is that WordPress.com uses 3 terabytes of bandwidth a day. If you are a technology guy, let that sink in for a second. That means WordPress.com is pushing 90 terabytes of transfer a month.

(詳見他們的about us。)
1/ Technorati Browser Buttons:
4/ Claim your blog
